process — you're not required to modify your book spine.
But for those authors with design skills, creating your own cover could be a great challenge for DIY publishing.
We can incorporate your fully-designed cover with your self-published book for a small charge with our DIY Cover Conversion service, as long as the file meets our technical requirements listed below. Since each cover design and file is different, we provide quotes on a case-by-case basis dependent on the work required to prepare your file for publishing.

your book size. You must know the exact page count of your formatted and finished
manuscript file, before you can determine the exact spine width.
